What is with this site 'atomicfonts.com'?

I've run upon a website called atomicfonts.com that appears to me to be distributing Bitstream fonts 'free'. AFAIK only Bitstream Vera (donated to GNOME) and some of Bitstream Charter (donated to X Windows) should be available 'free'. This doesn't look right to me; I'm thinking Napster for fonts. So what's the deal? Should I ask Bitstream about it? I collect free fonts but it isn't my hobby to collect pay fonts for free.

Update: A little reading around gives me the impression that old Bitstream fonts are common 'pirated' fonts. I should assume that's what's going on, and won't bother Bitstream, who probably by now don't care that much. I don't really care whether or not Bitstream gets paid; I think fonts should be free in the Stallman sense, although I'm not nearly as committed as Stallman. I just don't want to download 'pirated' fonts, much as I wouldn't have wanted, for instance, NeXT to 'pirate' the free GNU compiler. (NeXT relented and handed over their work on Objective C support, as required by the copyleft if they were going to distribute the compiler.)
