B&H Luxi fonts

When I went through free professional fonts that came with X windows, I forgot the Luxi fonts. These are from the same people as designed the better known Lucida fonts. You get serif, sans serif, and monospace, in medium and bold weights, roman and italic.

Unfortunately I do not know of any compact packaging for these fonts. You will find the TrueType versions buried in the tarball ftp://ftp.xfree86.org/pub/XFree86/4.6.0/source/XFree86-4.6.0-src-5.tgz in a subdirectory xc/fonts/scaled/TTF/

Utopia and some of the other fonts I’ve mentioned are in the same archive.

I leave it as an exercise for the reader to figure out how to extract the contents of a tarball on his or her system.
