Roasting

I’ve enjoyed an occasional cup of Japanese twig tea for years, but not till now had I tried it roasted. I find that it is a good demonstration of the fact that even light roasting makes things taste alike, so that you really ought to avoid those over-roasted coffees (though I avoid coffee generally, due to my stomach hating it).

If you want tea that looks like coffee, on the other hand, the best I know of Pu-erh tea, though it is rotted rather than roasted. :)
