How to understand liberal talk radio, part the seventh

When Jack Rice says ‘We’re opening up the phones’, it usually means ‘There is a chance I’ll take a call or two in the last hour, but probably not.’ When he rattles off the phone number, it means the same thing. If he says he’s going to start taking calls after the break, it means after the break is the last segment and he isn’t going to take any calls.

And, when Jack Rice isn’t speaking, it usually means he’s asleep.
