A lot of credit?

Randi Rhodes (always the optimist) is lavishing great praise on Harry
Reid for whispering Iago-style in Bush's ear, convincing him to
nominate Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court. While I credit anyone who
encouraged the Miers nomination, seeing it would create problems for
the Bushists, I would remind Randy how easy it must have been
to 'convince' Bush to nominate Miers, who is astoundingly
sycophantic. In fact I would recommend a general strategy of playing
to Bush's narcissistic side, if only because then everyone can see it,
but also because it helps incapacitate the man.

More interesting than any of that, though, is that this surely must be
evidence that Rove and Cheney are personally preoccupied these days.
Rove, Cheney, Rumsfeld, etc., not the basket-case Bush, have always been
responsible for the faint resemblance of this regime to a government.

BTW I heard that Bush is planning to appoint his pickup truck to the
