Apollo 4 on column of fire

What is at stake tomorrow

If anybody reading this stuff has also read my contributions as "trashy" of smirkingchimp.com, or under my proper name at Kevin Drum's washingtonmonthly.com blog, then they might know my opinion of tomorrow's U.S. election.  I believe we are going insane as a nation.  If we continue along the path we are on now, we will become a fascistic state, or what I have settled upon calling a Bushist state.  Tomorrow our job is to accept that we need therapy and to start cooperating in our therapy.

I do not refer anymore to the "Republican Party."  It does not exist right now.  It used to exist and might exist again, but today it is gone.  Instead we have what I call the National Bushist American Workers Party, or the Bushist Party, or the Bushist Arbeiterspartei.  It is led, for now, by der Fuhrer, the Leader, George W. Bush, sick Bush junior, a man whom you may not approach, or even see and hear, if you express even mildly a desire to have your civil rights protected.  He is a man whose eyes shine when he speaks of suffering and death.  We have not even begun to see what this man is capable of doing.  If he and the Bushists steal another four years, it could easily be the end of the United States republic;  the Bushists need not end elections, they merely need to control the elections.

Instead of a thousand year Reich that lasted only a few  years, we would have a New American Century that lasted only a few years.  With carnage, of course.

Go tomorrow and vote, for John Kerry.  Be prepared for another stage in the gradual, Nazi-like coup d'etat of the Bushist Arbeiterspartei, or if we prevail tomorrow most strongly, be prepared not to give up the ground we seize.
