Apollo 4 on column of fire

Sue Tom DeLay for the murder of any judge?

Tom DeLay has incited the murder of the judges who turned down Theresa
Schiavo's parents' wish to extend her posthumous humiliation
indefinitely. I'm not going to bother quoting DeLay exactly, because
I'm sure it will be heavily covered in the broadcast news, along with
the well researched educational segments on bulimia. Okay, so you'll
go to the TV and learn all about it, but for me it raises a question.
When the white racist Metzger family incited murderous violence by
white racist skinheads, the Southern Poverty Law Center sued the
Metzgers and won. Will any murderous violence against judges lead to
a lawsuit against Tom DeLay?

We live in interesting times.

No April Fool's gags from me; for me April 1 is something different. It was on April 1, 1909, that my grandpa Abraham and his slightly older monozygotic brother Rudolph were born. No foolin'. Grandpa died in '72, from cigarettes, and Rudy died before I was born -- from rheumatic heart disease, I believe.

Some people just don't have any luck -- their birthdays have something else going on that steals all the attention. Poor Abe! :)

Jean-Luc Picard's little flute

I was browsing archives of the Chiff and Fipple tinwhistle forums, looking for some advice to help me play flute not too uncomfortably despite my fibromyalgia, and came upon an excellent photo, http://chiffboard.mati.ca/viewtopic.php?t=24516&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=33. I've tried it and it's the best thing so far and seems to work well with both D and G flute, and I think it will also work with Tony Dixon's high D convertible whistle/flute thingie.

I also saw there at http://chiffboard.mati.ca/viewtopic.php?t=24516&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=27 that Doug Tipple, the water pipe flute maker from whom I obtained a couple of flutes, comes "from a long line of people suffering from OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder)." Which is interesting, because OCD is an even bigger problem for me than is fibromyalgia; how far back the line goes, I don't know; at least two generations before mine, but after that I don't know.

Further browsing led me to the interesting story of Jean-Luc Picard's little Ressikan flute: http://www.chiffandfipple.com/startrek.htm.
