Apollo 4 on column of fire

A troublesome contrast

I don’t recall all names, but I’ve noticed that outside the Beltway people are giving lots of credit to Howard Dean for the big win, and lesser or equal credit to Emanuel and Schumer (hmm, those sound like cosmopolitan elitist names), while inside the Beltway supposedly the credit is given to Emanuel-Schumer at Dean’s expense, and supposedly his grip on the DNC chair is tenuous.

This is troubling to me; firing Howard Dean would tend to cause the very loss of morale, the Democratic glumness that we overcame this time around, so that we let it all hang out and ceded nothing to the Bushists. Howard Dean helps Democrats and non-Democrats-in-name-only feel partisan.
