Apollo 4 on column of fire

Adobe Reader on GNU/Linux and Windows

I did one of my rare boots into MS Windows, to update my Comcastical copy of McAfee security stuff, and while there tried looking at in Adobe Reader 8. The doc looked nowhere near as good as it does in my usual environment running the GNU/Linux version of Adobe Reader 7.

I wonder if this is because I have done some fine tuning for (X Windows) that I haven’t done for MS Windows. Is Windows not using subpixel rendering, for instance?
