Cluelessness all around

Armando Llorens chides Mo Dowd:

Clueless In The Beltway : Dowd, Proud Member Of The Loser Media
By Big Tent Democrat, Section Media

Even after having her nose rubbed in it, Maureen Dowd stil does not get it. The voters of New Hampshire rebuked the Tweety/Dowd Media axis of Hillary hater and misogyny and she tries to crack wise:

Yet, in the end, she had to fend off calamity by playing the female victim, both of Obama and of the press. Hillary has barely talked to the press throughout her race even though the Clintons this week whined mightily that the press prefers Obama. . . . At her victory party, Hillary was like the heroine of a Lifetime movie, a woman in peril who manages to triumph. Saying that her heart was full, she sounded the feminist anthem: “I found my own voice.”

You foolish woman. Hillary did not play the victim. The Tweety/Dowd Media Axis tried to victimize Clinton. Your team lost Ms. Dowd. But like the losing team you are, you will continue to pound your losing tactics. Hillary will only prosper now from your misogynistic attacks.

The Clinton campaign must be thinking, "keep up the good work" MoDo and Tweety and Co. And Obama must be cursing your name.

So chemoelectric chides Armando:

Clueless in San Juan (none / 0) (#21)
by chemoelectric

Oh, nonsense all around. Ms. Clinton did a form of tearing up that male politicians do all the time, that ordinary citizens also do, where a person tears up when talking about labor and sacrifice on behalf of the nation. It's a sure winner, especially if it is really felt, and the SCLM helped by publicizing the event.

The MSM don't understand because they are misogynist, and other people don't understand because they think of the whole election as a kind of multi-way football where the candidates and the MSM are different teams and the voting public are the ball, which is passive and goes wherever the candidates and MSM throw or kick it.

Right wing Jesus Freak code

In case anyone is wondering (like Rachel Maddow has done on the air) what the heck Mike Huckabee is talking about with all this ‘verticality’ and ‘up’ and ‘down’ and all that, it is Jesus Freak codespeak. With some googling it should be possible to find websites describing the code. (I know because I’ve seen Kristy looking at such a website.)

Bush also speaks in Jesus Freak codespeak. For instance, ‘liberty’ does not mean what we ordinary people think it does. It has some right wing Jesus Freak meaning.

Obama’s speech last night sucked

It was slightly better than some of his other speeches, because he alluded vaguely to the hopes of children to grow up well, instead of reciting only the unlimited word ‘hope’. That was about all the content, or maybe there were one or two other vague allusions to life on Earth; otherwise it was ‘twirling towards freedom’, and strangely so, because he repeated ‘Yes, we can’ as a meaningless chant instead of putting context after each invocation, as Martin Luther King probably would have done. If he would come to me for training and actually tried to learn, he would always give context and his speeches would not only push people’s happy buttons but also, perhaps, be worthy of putting in English composition primers. :)

Martin Luther King BTW died when he was still several years younger than Obama is now.

Rachel Maddow (of AAR) thinks Obama’s speech was ‘historic’. People just don’t see the difference in type between the different kinds of statements—whether or not the domains of the nouns are specified, for instance. It’s like how in fontaddicts people often make wildly incorrect guesses when asked to identify a font: they don’t have the training to tell the differences. Both book knowledge and practice are necessary.

Was the vote tampered?

See http://www.bradblog.com/

Fact is, we just don’t know what these machines are registering.

Supposedly we are dealing at least with a few unregistered Ron Paul votes—perhaps the machines just don’t scan properly. Another possibility, though, is someone shoves a pre-set memory card into the vote tabulator.
