Apollo 4 on column of fire

Democratic Party convention speeches

Yeah, I don’t give a damn about them. Probably no one should, and then maybe the politicians will quit making them; instead I’ve been listening to the Bothy Band and whatnot. Somebody tell me when the convention is over.

I did sit by the TV ready to throw things at it, waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting, ..., waiting, so I could see how Ted Kennedy looked. He looked good, within Ted Kennedy limits; this made me glad. Then I went and worked on fonts while listening to music. I’ve developed a really nice (IMO) semi-automated spacing and kerning system. It could likely be made into a halfway decent more fully automated system, though I’m not sure that’s worth the effort to develop.

A challenge

The challenge is to tell the difference between Mo Dowd’s column (http://www.nytimes.com/2008/08/27/opinion/27dowd.html) and recent entries in Mike Malloy’s mini-blog (http://www.mikemalloy.com/live/).

Okay, I exaggerate. The main difference I can guess at is that Malloy is terrified that the revolution will come and he won’t be able to shoot, and so is overcompensating with verbal aggression, whereas Maureen Dowd simply has an ant colony in her head instead of a brain.
