I think the Obama campaign wrote the speeches for tonight’s Bushist speakers, to provide a foil.
I kept saying, from time to time, over the preceding months, I sensed that we were going to have a repeat of the 1992 Republican convention this year, but that only makes me suspicious of my sensation that this is turning into a repeat of the 1992 convention. Kristy told me that Andrea Mitchell said she also was reminded of the 1992 convention.
Supposedly they had to skip the introductory film about Sarah Palin, because Giuliani rambled on for too long.
Yeah, right. They told Giuliani to go long, to give them an excuse for not showing a film.
I was shocked today, but not by the Bushist Arbeiters Convention Hatefest.
No, I was shocked that Randi Rhodes, who has read ‘The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder’—which despite its flaws (when veering from the subject) makes its case resoundingly—our Randi Rhodes mentioned mass murderer Condoleezza Rice as someone who would be a better choice than Sarah Palin.
We’re not using the term ‘mass murderer’ loosely, here. We are talking about the crime of murder. If you trick someone into getting themselves killed, and you can’t plead self-defense, then you have the legal makings of murder; and there are thousands of Americans who were tricked into getting themselves killed, by Bush, Cheney, and Rice; and there is proof of no self-defense. These three have committed murder and continue to commit it, again and again. But this does not register with Randi Rhodes.
Does she have a defense?
