Apollo 4 on column of fire

Interesting ...

See http://0install.net/

Interesting especially given that ROX support in Portage is spotty; it looks (from having things not work) as if I’m going to have to install older versions of Python alongside what I’ve got, but that’s not a problem. (Portage is Gentoo’s equivalent to Windows/Microsoft Update, though it is different in that usually it downloads source code rather than pre-compiled code, and then compiles and installs the program.)

Less interesting

On second examination, this 0install stuff seems to be hard to get working without hobbling my system down to the level for which it was compiled. Feh. Plus it’s short of executables for non-i486 systems.

Darn it

My stomach does not tolerate kiwi fruit. Of course I just had to finish the kiwi squishee that I had gotten some while back, having forgotten (when I got it, but not now) that I do not tolerate kiwi fruit.

In other news: eating half a bag of prunes has interesting consequences.
