Meanwhile, Jon Elliot and Victoria Jones are making radio broadcast wagers as to when Olympia Snowe defects. Susan Collins doesn’t come up for re-election until some years off. We’ll see what happens, but Lincoln Chafee showed it is possible for less hardy politicians to be paralyzed into inaction; so I’m not joining the wager.

Mentally ill Jesus freak needs help

Michele Bachmann needs help, and maybe could make a small contribution to some actual violence, but thank goodness she isn’t bone-chilling like Norm Coleman. Norman remains the only US politician I can think of to make a ‘victory’ speech on election night demanding his opponent’s concession.

Rrrrggh, cold, cold. I’ll change my thoughts to Tim Pawlenty – human roadkill, the last cat to be flattened beneath Norm Coleman’s cold, cold tires on the way to the Senate. (Mondale required no flattening, having chosen to run on the ‘I’m a prick’ platform.)
