Media outfits (including even TPM) treat politicians’ statements as some kind of Tarot, then blame Obama for leaving them confused. Well, he’ll have to take care of the problem, anyway, but we really would benefit if media individuals and organizations got used to such notions as ‘Um, I just don’t know’, how to phrase them, and how properly to remedy lack of knowledge.
Air America's Richard Greene is a boob of the second order.
(The first order would include people who believe the Trade Center towers were filled with explosives. Specific talk radio examples would include Peter B Collins, who said he didn’t believe a 757 hit the Pentagon.)
Richard Greene just told a transparent confidence trickster that the con man was a genuine contribution-maker and that Richard liked him.
There are really two guys conning him, and their patter is classic. Grampa Simpson’s got nothing on them. I gather that Greene only knows one of them, however.
(What the guys are selling is a perpetual motion machine. Seriously.)
