Apollo 4 on column of fire

I think I've stopped liking Dennis Kucinich ...

... because he is a sourpuss. It doesn’t matter whether or not he is right, if he is going to be a sourpuss about it, and thus a guaranteed bummer in a world that needs less bummery.

Sourpussery is an early stage of curmudgeonry; the more advanced stages are downright harmful. Dennis hasn’t progressed that far.

Amarok 2 is working?

I seem to have gotten Amarok 2.2 working by setting up a mysql database server and using that instead of embedded mysql (which apparently has a bad history with Amarok 2 on Gentoo systems). Or maybe it’s because I recompiled some libraries with mysql support. Using the external database should be more flexible, anyway, plus maybe I’ll learn some SQL.

I hope it isn’t as crashy as Amarok 1.4, given how version 2’s current user interface is less good than the old one.
