Better Cheney than Bush

Another argument against the claim that it doesn’t help to oust Bush, if Cheney takes his place, depends on popularity. Although Bush has a 30 to 40 percent approval rating, Cheney is about as popular as Tojo in Wartime Hawaii. Thus Cheney most likely would find it harder to persuade Congress. It’s hard for me to picture Cheney becoming as popular as Bush; he’s an ogre-like character who shoots people in the face and makes them apologize for blocking his shot.

Furthermore, it just occurs to me, it would become harder for him to ‘operate in the shadows’, as he fancies himself doing. That might crimp his gonads a little, although probably not. He’d delegate to some Iran-Contra fiend.
