Torture chambers and rape rooms probably unconstitutional

According to Reuters:

A reported U.S. plan to keep some suspected terrorists imprisoned for a lifetime even if the government lacks evidence to charge them in courts was swiftly condemned on Sunday as a "bad idea" by a leading Republican senator....

Influential senators denounced the idea as probably unconstitutional.

What kind of milk are these "influential senators" pouring on their corn flakes? It's not about what's "constitutional" anymore; they haven't figured that out by now? What do you think is going to happen? Do they think the Supreme Court is going to go to the White House and pull Bush by the ear? Or maybe they think that the Bushist House of Representatives will impeach Bush? Bush doesn't need the Supremes anymore. He can simply ignore them, or pretend he's listening.
