The new Obline

This morning I was the world’s first recipient of Jeremy Dooley’s new version of Obline, which will have Esperanto letters, more OpenType features, a true italic instead of oblique roman, etc., but most especially is spaced properly. And IMO (and in Kristy’s O) it is now beautiful:

Here I have substituted Obline Regular for the actual main text font in a document I am working on as part of my writing-my-own-typesetting-software bamboozlement scheme. I almost don’t want to go back to the other font.

I always liked the letter-shapes, but they weren’t correctly spaced and thus weren’t much use for text. Actually I think you can see that in the little icon thing at the link, unless Jeremy and MyFonts have changed it by the time you see it. It wasn’t usable for text with the old spacing. (I know because I tried. :) )
