Disillusionment: I told you so

Listening to liberal talk radio, I hear people who were inspired by Barack Obama’s E plabnista rhetoric, who now are disillusioned by his support for the telcom immunity and unconstitutional spying bill.

Don’t say I didn’t warn you that disillusionment would result from the E plabnista method of inspiration. Yes, we can! Yes, we can what? Yes we can be spied on? Yes we can dismiss lawsuits against companies that have earned the corporate death penalty?

Aside: Armando Llorens over at is waiting to see whether Obama is serious about stripping out telcom immunity. I can’t imagine why Armando would do that, unless Armando’s plan is to wait for Obama to show he isn’t serious, to get an excuse to throw a tantrum in public and be the center of attention. :) Because of course Obama was not serious.

Postscript: John Dean pointed out on Olbermann that the telcom immunity would be only against lawsuits, and not against criminal charges. Maybe Obama would pursue criminal charges once he is president, but I will not lose sleep waiting for that to happen! However, it is slightly possible that the politicians and lawyers who put together this monstrous bill may be kicking themselves for having overlooked the criminal aspect.
