Two groups of people

I’m starting to divide people into one group, which includes people who see the current crisis and wonder why anyone would want to be President of the United States, and another group, of people who see the current crisis and think they may become the next Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Mike Malloy and Digby both have placed themselves in the former group, and I am in the latter.

I imagine modern Republicans mostly go in the first group and only people who wouldn’t enjoy the job are running for president; now that we are down to McCain alone, that’s very probably so. Mind you, Bush also hates the job, but spends little time on the job and enjoys the recreation he does instead.
