Sam Seder grousing

Sam Seder, unfortunately, was griping about Obama’s actions, but his was a mild gripe. He thinks Obama reaching out is okay but that he shouldn’t make concessions in exchange for zero votes. The problem with that gripe is it doesn’t take into account all the angles. For instance, Republicans will have a much harder time now explaining why they voted against the bill.

Let’s talk about it in terms of me and Dennis Kucinich. Both of us can be considered seriously left-wing, and might like to have entered articles of impeachment against Dick Cheney. But Kucinich has to go and enter three thousand four hundred seventy three point two articles of impeachment, instead of one, two, or three really good ones, which is all that I would have done. Kucinich has no idea how to manage the meanings of things; but Obama does, at least when he’s at top form.

What a lot of my fellow lefties want Obama to do is make a joke of himself like Dennis Kucinich.
