Very interesting

I find it very interesting that the ‘Permanent Republican Majority’ turned out to be a bubble. I’ll call it the ‘Bubble Majority’. And I personally have been opining that the Republican Party actually has been in a bubble since at least the failure of the ERA and initiation of the ‘gender gap’. They’ve had only one reasonably popular person in a leadership role (Ronald Reagan) in the time since, they’ve lost or tied the last five presidential elections, and when they’ve had some kind of control of the legislature they’ve made themselves both detested and imprisonable.

They hung on by thuggery, which in the end failed them; the bubble collapsed, and now here we are, and the Republicans are struggling to hang onto the hate-group bloc without excessively offending ordinary, decent Americans.
