I just thought of an historical analogy to explain what is wrong with this posting. It is that, when the late Senator S I Hayakawa immigrated to the United States, it was as a "Japanese". Hayakawa was from Winnipeg, Manitoba. That is what you have done, Brent, by selecting three women to make your point about Republicans versus non-Republicans. It is an archaic gender bias.
BTW you can write simply "working people" or even "working folk" rather than the archaic "working men and women".
I'm not sure Brent Budowsky ought to rely on his own ability to detect veiled racism in venom towards President Obama, considering how little effort he puts into clearing his own writing of pointless gender bias. His style would have been liberated if he were writing in the 1950s, but it’s the 2000s.
