You have people like Anthony Weiner out there talking, from what I read, like healthcare reform is dead now. Okay, let me get this straight. You have 58 senators in the Democratic caucus. One more eventually is seated, and then – SURPRISE! – one crosses the aisle and you have 60. The 60-seat majority wasn’t something we expected. So, if healthcare reform is dead now, why were you bothering in the first place? Even worse, people like you, Weiner, were signing stupid threat letters designed to make healthcare reform harder to obtain (and encouraging the likes of Dennis Kucinich to refuse to eat their greens). Why did you drag this out with phony demands as part of a phony effort to phony provide healthcare reform?
Go vote for the freaking Senate bill that you’ve help stick us with by feigning fortitude and not just getting this matter out of the way so you could have attacked the next of the many problems the Bush years have left us.
