Why I use JFS as my filesystem

I was afraid a the TeXlive downloader-installer would run out of space on the logical volume I gave it, so, while the program was running, I added a gigabyte to the volume and resized the filesystem to take in the new space.

I think the same thing could be done with XFS.

These filesystems have variable-size inode tables, so another benefit is they don’t need the inodes-preällocated ‘lost+found’ directories that traditionally pollute Unix-like filesystems.
